...Aaaaaah. *sighs*

I need to ramble about some headcanon for this to make sense. In short: Trance and Luther managed to make nice after the events of episode 2 (we do not talk about the failship), though it took a lot of arguing, flailing and Trance ending up being basically the perfect host for what remained of Luther's...soul, I suppose you could call it. Enter episode 3, enter Double, enter the creepy little scene in Double's inner world, enter Trance making what was probably the most rash decision of his life and not only letting Luther take up residence in his body, but pretty much demanding him to. So here we have a be-Luthered Trance, who occasionally shares his body with the loser birb after the two of them end up calling a truce of sorts.

Still with me? Good. We're not quite done.

End of episode 3 happens. Persona, who happens to be Trance's original, Lucien, saves Trance from the Profound Darkness and gets PD'd as a result. Trance isn't having this. Trance is damn well determined to get Lucien back. (Lucien has also managed to shove everything that made him, well, him into Trance, so Trance has now effectively become Lucien, which actually is a great help.) Trance gets this opportunity just shortly before the beginning of ep 5, which is where this little bit of traumatic plot comes in.

Why the forcible de-Luthering, though? Well, I had to scramble to figure out a way to get Luther out of the picture, because guess who's back in the ep 5 content. So. Yeah.

(For the record, Trance is recovering. He doesn't like me very much for putting him through this, though.)

'You remember what I said earlier about you not helping? Yeah. Still applies.' )

I'm finally starting to bring old plotbits back into the new plot. It's surprisingly fun.

This may or may not have been the result of me deciding, while playing episode 2's EX chapter, that I needed to give Trance a little bit of happy, and that his little inner darkness problem has the ability we've given all the Falz entities in headcanon - to connect people's minds. Result: it let him talk to Gettemhart for a bit. Instant happy.

Really I'm just glad I finally got this done.

'Omega,' he said, and pretended he didn't feel like he'd just been knifed in the chest by saying it. 'That's - apparently what it's called.' )

It occurs to me, I should really make sure my writery things actually get posted here. Dur, self. That's what the writing journal is for.

So I'm back on Phantasy Star Online 2, through a totally frustrating but entirely worth it series of events, and the first mission of the episode 3 story content came out yesterdayish. Of course, a plotbunny bit, and so I have written a bit of plot that's situated riiiiiight at the start of episode 3. Tagline is totally "a lot can happen in six months" (episode 2 events ended six months before 3, as you may have guessed) and well, Trance is an idiot. I love him, really, but my god, the Dense Man card is going to wear itself out from how many times I have to pull it to further his damn plot. Good gravy.

So...yeah. Plot. Self-introspective rambly Trance. Idiocy. The usual.

No really, a lot can happen in six months. )
